Job Summary:

• The CDL Driver will provide support in CDL Truck Driving duties in a warehouse environment.
• Shift: 6:00 am-6:30 PM, Friday-Sunday
• Local Runs

Primary Duties:

• Operate company owned and leased trucks over 4 tons to facilitate shipping and receiving operations.
• Operate trucks for the delivery, pickup and relocation of customer products and materials.
• This position will be on-site, no miles driven – focus on trailer moves in the yard.
• Perform required before, during and after operation “user maintenance” and provide required reports.
• Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations.
• Operate material handling equipment.
• Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and OSHA and company safety programs.
• Maintain and protect all property entrusted to you in excellent condition.
• Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall team operations.
• Maintain a level of professionalism at all times.

Required Skills:

Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving

• Hazmat/tanker endorsement
• Skill in operation of listed tools and equipment
• Ability to safely drive various vehicles
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, supervisors and the general public
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to perform heavy manual tasks under varying weather conditions
• Ability to make independent judgments which have moderate impacts on the organization
• Must pass a background check
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Must have at least 2 years recent driving experience with a Class A CDL
• Must have minimal infractions on a 3 year MVR report
• Must have a current Class A CDL and DOT card
• Must be able to pass a road test administered by the company
• Yard dog/tractor experience preferred

Education/Certifications/Experience:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least two years of recent driving experience with a Class A CDL License.
• Ability to operator a forklift and become forklift certified (at least one year of forklift experience).

Physical Demands:

• Prolonged periods of sitting/driving a tractor trailer.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
