Regional logistics company seeking applicants for a truck driver / customer service position. This truck is based out of Farmingdale, NJ and the company is headquartered in Point Pleasant, NJ 08742. We are a small business and this team member will report to the owner directly.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

• Safely operate a 26’ box truck – CDL not required. Experience operating large vehicles or machinery is preferred. Skill and ability to use mirrors when backing up. Good sense and motivation to get out and look while maneuvering.

• Clean MVR and background. In possession of or able to obtain a DOT medical card.

• Maintain accurate driving logs using the Motive/Keep Trucking ELD system.

• Conduct daily inspections of the truck – mileage, tire tread and pressure, fluids, lights, brakes, etc.

• Ensure loads are balanced and braced appropriately for safe transport.

• Assist with the loading and unloading of the truck when required. A high percentage of loads are dock-to-dock and palletized which only requires the use of a manual pallet jack.

• Keep a presentable appearance and an orderly work space (i.e. keep the truck box swept out and make sure the trash gets put in the can).

• Interface with shippers and receivers while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor at all times.

Compensation & Work Life

• Salary range: $55,000-$60,000.

• Weekly hours range: 50-60

• Start time range: 5am-9am

• Home daily

• Area of operation: NJ, PA, NY, MD, DE, & CT.

• Years 1 – 2: five personal days/year. Years 3 – 5: ten personal days/year. 5+ years: fifteen personal days/year

• Paid holidays – New Years day, Good Friday, Memorial day, Independence day, Thanksgiving, & Christmas.
