Trustpoint.One is recruiting a Corporate Counsel who is client focused, organized, and has a team-oriented approach. This is an on-site position and applicants must be able to commute to the office in Charlotte, NC.

This position handles a full range of legal support including general corporate matters, corporate governance/ maintenance, contracts, regulatory, legal research and filings, interaction with regulators, and legal services to internal company departments and colleagues.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for preparation and filing of periodic reports, applications and renewal and other filings with state agencies including Departments of Insurance.
  • Responsibilities include managing the Company’s legal documents storage, both physical and electronic.
  • Maintain corporate organizational charts, subsidiary lists, entity charts, board/committee lists, officer/director designations.
  • Perform legal and regulatory research.
  • Interact with company departments and colleagues to provide legal services on various matters.
  • Interact with external groups, including company partners and regulatory agencies.

Requirements

  • J.D. from accredited law school
  • Active bar license in any US state. North Carolina preferred.
  • Two+ years of relevant work experience at a law firm or in-house legal department.
  • Preferred experience includes corporate governance, board/shareholder matters, corporate and organizational maintenance, commercial contracts, regulatory/governmental interaction, and a variety of general corporate projects and matters.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and quality; precision in drafting and communication.
  • Ability to uphold standards of complete discretion, confidentiality, ethics and fair/proper behavior.
