Twisting Operator I
Position Overview
Responsibilities: - Threads positions in accordance with procedures and specifications. - Maintains adequate supply of quality feed yarn on creel and in pot by removing empty tube, replacing with a full size package, and splicing transfer tails. - Doffs finished packages after a visual quality inspection. - Repairs breaks and restart position according to specification. - Patrols Twister for wraps, runouts, and breaks. Makes repairs as required. - Unloads finished package from belt, separates by product number places on buggy, and labels properly. - Gathers Quality Engineering Lab samples as required. - Place empty tubes at each position as needed. - Places spare recyclable empty tubes in storage box for reuse. - Obtains empty buggies for placement of finished packages. - Inspects creel pot yarn for defects and contamination - Obtains creel yarn and tubes from staging area as needed. - Ensures correct twist level is maintained when splicing. - Leaves at leastd one (1) buggy of yarn of each color running for next shift (when available). - Pushes and stages twisted yarn to the Heatset staging areas when required. - Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as required. Requirements: Manufacturing Experience Preferred
