Job description
J & K is in immediate need of a Two-Way Radio Systems Technician in the Indianapolis area. With 2 years of experience servicing land mobile radio equipment (Kenwood, Motorola, or similar) and experience servicing handheld radios, mobile radios, base or repeater stations preferred. J&K will entertain training the applicant in the tower climbing portion of our industry if the applicant has electronics knowledge and is willing to climb.
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties as management may deem necessary from time to time:
- Individuals should be self-starter, punctual, and customer-oriented.
- Have excellent documentation and strong team-building skills.
- Ensure projects are completed on time.
- Install and service antenna systems and radio equipment following verbal or written instructions and drawings.
- Ability to analyze cables and use test equipment and software.
- The ability to test for proper radio service and signal strength.
- Must have knowledge of radio equipment. Climbing, rigging and safety procedures if applicable.
- Must be safety-oriented and possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to lift 75lbs.
- Must be willing to travel.
- Monday-Friday schedule with occasional weekend/overnight work.
