Position Description:
Primary Responsibilities
- Create mockups and/or wireframes (depending on each project) that meet current HTML-driven Web page design standards, including but not limited to: usability and navigation, search engine optimization, load times, responsive templates and content management system(s).
- Provide multiple solutions for complex visual problems.
- Create wireframes of new pages and components as well as edit established elements.
- Create guidelines, standards, and repeatable processes to ensure a user-centered software development process.
- Works with Director of Customer Experience to conceptualize approaches and roadmap for user experience strategies.
- Be able to present, justify, evangelize and negotiate proposed user interface designs.
- Collaborate with online product managers, developers, designers, content providers, marketing professionals and agency partners to bring high quality experiences to the web environment that align with business objectives, industry best practices, brand guidelines, and project timelines.
- Apply a variety of methodologies such as heuristic evaluations, lab studies using think aloud protocol, focus group testing and field research to evaluate new concepts, devices and applications.
- Contribute to the continual development of user interface design requirements to help generate sales, retain customers, and provide a first class customer experience.
- Serve as the customer voice and advocate in technology discussions and decisions.
- Take ownership in driving product and new feature development through every stage of the web development lifecycle.
- Have a full understanding of the appropriate metrics and key performance indicators to measure performance to goals.
- This individual will be responsible for documenting user experience interfaces.
- This individual may take part in the initial planning of projects.
- Facilitate development of Customer satisfaction scores for online browse and purchasing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of industry related professional experience and education.
- Minimum 5 years experience in User Interface and User Experience requirements / site flow documentation and development, web page design and concept development in E-commerce, retail, and sales with a working understanding of E-commerce marketing terminology
- Experienced in Photoshop (expertise), Dreamweaver (strong knowledge and skills), Illustrator, Adobe Premier and some Sketch skills preferred.
- Experience working in a B2B and B2C Web E-Commerce environments.
- Experience designing for desktop, tablet and mobile platforms.

- Understanding of HTML and design in low bandwidth environments

- Ideal candidate would have 1 year experience conducting user research and have made tangible impacts to in-market consumer products
- Ability to understand customer needs, motivations and behaviors and translate them into actionable deliverables

- Self-starter, accustomed to working in a changing environment who enjoys and takes pride in solution delivery
- Ability to think strategically and execute tactically
- Must be able to complete assignments in a timely manner and meet deadlines

- Travel required: 5% of the time, travel throughout the U.S. with overnight stays.
