POSITION

the Press intern is part of the UK and Ireland press team and will report to the head of press UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sample movement
    • Assist with the packing + recording of all sample trafficking
    • Booking couriers for both domestic and international shipments
    • Collating information for and producing documents for international shipments, including commercial invoices
    • Close monitoring of all deliveries to shoots / magazine returns
    • Organisation of sample room / showroom presentation
    • Ensuring all samples within the showroom are barcoded and logged in Launchmetrics
  • Coverage
    • Support in the monitoring and collation of all UK media coverage, to include:
    • Scanning + filing of all print coverage
    • Collating online coverage + digitally inputting into templates
    • Compiling individual PDFs of UK coverage in preparation for weekly report
    • Filing/Archiving of all coverage within the Celine shared server
    • Tracking coverage against strategies and seasonal targets
  • Maintaining an up to date contact database within Launchmetrics
  • Provide administrative assistance to the PR team
  • Research and report on competitor activity
  • Archiving previous collections and managing existing archive processes


PROFILE

Requirements:

  • An interest in Public Relations within the fashion industry
  • Organised and proactive, offering of assistance within and outside of the team
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced press office environment is beneficial
  • Experience using Launchmetrics for both Contacts and Samples
  • Experience or knowledge of Fashion Monitor preferable
  • An overall grasp of the UK media landscape
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint
  • Fluent in English and excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent IT skills (MS Office, including advanced Excel)
  • Positive mindset with a strong ability to multi-task and work at a fast pace while maintaining excellent quality and detail of work
  • Great team player with the willingness to learn and develop
