Ultrasound Tech - ARDMS

We are looking for a motivated and dedicated Ultrasound Tech to join our team of medical professionals. As an Ultrasound Tech, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures and providing quality patient care. This position requires an American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) license and current certification in one of the following areas: Abdomen, Breast, OBGYN.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate ultrasound machines and other medical imaging equipment to produce images of internal organs and body structures.
• Explain the procedure to patients, answer questions and provide reassurance.
• Record patient information, including medical history and exam results.
• Identify anatomical structures in images and select appropriate settings for imaging.
• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures as ordered by physicians.
• Review and verify patient information for accuracy.
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of equipment.
• Perform and document quality control tests to ensure the accuracy of imaging equipment.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
• Work with radiologists, physicians and other healthcare professionals to determine the most effective imaging procedures.
• Provide patient education on the proper use of imaging equipment.
• Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment.

Qualifications & Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current certification in one of the following areas: Abdomen, Breast, OBGYN.
• American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) License.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathology.
• Knowledge of medical imaging equipment and procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
