How You Will Make an Impact

Our guests seek professionalism, honesty, and credibility. As an Upholstery Technician with Out & Upfitters, you will be solutions oriented and help bring Guest’s dreams to life with your technical mastery of upholstery skills. Your creativity, efficiency, and quality of work will directly impact whether we become our guest’s favorite place to purchase, lease, or service their dream vehicle!

What Winning Looks Like:

• Install equipment according to written and verbal directions
• Safely uses tools and equipment such as: Sewing machine, band saws, sanders, foam and upholstery, material cutting knives, etc.
• Assembles and covers headliners
• Measures and cuts plastic support panels and fabric for custom soft storage, while using a single needle sewing machine to sew fabrics, piping, zippers
• Involved in design and pattern making
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace
• Work with the installation team to meet job deadlines
• Understand Out & Upfitters product line
• Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a team and independently
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Other duties as assigned

Skills Needed to Win (one or more of the following skills preferred):

• 4+ years of professional upholstery work experience including sewing and pattern making
• Previous experience providing design and creative ideas to Guests
• 4+ years van/motorhome construction experience
