LINE OF RESPONSIBILITY: The Vaccination Coordinator reports to the Director of Nursing with support from Clinical Operations Manager

PURPOSE: This position works to establish an efficient and effective vaccination clinic, including all aspects of inventory, supply ordering, documentation in EHR, and coordination of clinic staff

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• 
  Coordinate and plan HCHC vaccination initiative, working under the guidance of the Dir of Nursing/Clinical Ops manager? and HCHC Vaccination Team
• For annual vaccinations (Flu/Covid) continued work to improve current protocols, implement updates
• Assist with the development and documentation of all appropriate protocols and procedures for all vaccination and testing clinics both inhouse and external (pop up)
• Oversee and coordinate vaccination clinic staff, ensuring appropriate staffing, including volunteers
• Responsible for training employees on giving vaccines and assessing competencies initially and on an annual basis (or as needed)
• Responsible for continual education as need for providers and all clinical staff
• Oversee management of vaccine including ordering, storage, removal of expired vaccine and proper vaccine transport, as necessary.
• Ensure that the appropriate reporting for all vaccine and testing is completed with local, state, and national entities
• Collaborate with local, state, and national entities to coordinate efforts when needed
• Schedule/attend appropriate meetings regarding vaccination protocols and best practices
• Ensure minutes are recorded, reviewed, approved for weekly vaccination team meetings
• Manage outreach to patients and community to notify of vaccination availability
• Coordinates outreach to parents for immunization catch up
• Analyze vaccination data to increase vaccination rates in the community
• Manage all vaccine clinic handouts/collaterals; including patient education and clinic flow protocols

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must display excellent teamwork
• Ability to work in a fast -paced environment
