Pinellas Vascular is a vascular surgery clinic looking for someone who is looking to grow with us and work in a great team environment. The Vascular Ultrasound Technologist position will conduct and document vascular assessments on patients and work closely with our Vascular Surgeon in an IAC-accredited facility. This role performs procedures in a careful, compassionate, and respectful manner, prioritizing patient care. This position will temporarily require travel to Spring Hill, FL and Pinellas Park, FL. It will become a permanent position in Spring Hill.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Possess basic aseptic/sterile technique skills, including knowledge of surgical instrumentation
- Prepare the room and ultrasound equipment to conduct examinations and procedures, such as Varithena
- Assist Vascular Surgeon with vascular ultrasound procedures
- Recognize and record the appropriate anatomy and pathology using sonographic equipment
- Care properly for sonography equipment and report equipment failure
- Write reports based on the scan results and completion
- Alert appropriate medical staff of any abnormalities that need immediate attention
- Use the ability to solve problems and make decisions
- Work independently or with minimal supervision and as part of a team
- Manage multiple priorities and projects, and display flexibility in a fast-paced work environment
- Display a good work ethic and a friendly and cheerful disposition
- Maintain the strictest levels of confidentiality
- Pursue professional development for the continual improvement of patient care
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Graduate of an accredited program for sonographers
- RVT or RVS Certification Required
- Proficient at carotid, upper and lower arterial and venous, upper extremity mapping and venous insufficiency mapping.
- Minimum two years’ experience preferred.
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 30 lbs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $62,400.00 - $83,200.00 per year
