Position Overview:

The Lube Technician position entails servicing equipment and small mechanical repairs. Vehicles can range from pickup trucks to heavy duty excavation equipment and cranes. This position reports to the Lead Mechanic.

Tasks:

• Complete all needed mechanical repairs
• Repair, overhaul, or adjust automobile brake systems.
• Fixing any headlight issues, or electrical issues needing attention
• Troubleshoot fuel, ignition, and emissions control systems, using electronic testing equipment.
• Repair or replace defective ball joint suspensions, brake shoes, or wheel bearings.
• Inspecting the engine block and underbody for leaks and potential issues
• Installing new parts, such as air filters, oil filters windshield wipers and batteries, changing tires as needed
• Completing required DOT inspections
• Diagnosing existing issues and consulting with lead mechanics on the team to address the vehicle’s’ issues
• Inspect and test new vehicles for damage and record findings so that necessary repairs can be made.
• Test electronic computer components in automobiles to ensure proper operation.
• Repair, replace, or adjust defective fuel injectors, carburetor parts, and gasoline filters.
• Create/maintain service reports

Qualifications:

• Experience servicing pickup trucks, heavy duty excavation equipment and cranes is required
• An aptitude for mechanical diagnosis and repairs
• Current valid Class B CDL is required
• Demonstrated experience with servicing vehicles
• A valid drivers license and the ability to work legally in the US
• Time management and organizational skills as well as hand-eye coordination
• The ability to read and follow complex directions in manuals as well as relay information in reports
• The physical ability to perform all tasks related to the position of Lube Technician, such as bending and reaching, standing for long periods of time and lifting over 60 pounds

Schedule:

• Monday thru Friday up to 10 hours a day if needed during high production months of Summer/Fall

Travel:

• This position will require travel in Utah to the project sites in Vernal and Nephi as needed

Compensation:

• Pay is based on experience
• Per diem pay
