Vice President of Operations
Leavitt Group is looking for a Vice President of Operations in the Tampa Bay area. ARCW Insurance, a Leavitt Group agency is an insurance agency that offers commercial, health, and personal lines of insurance coverage. This is a dynamic and growing agency in the Florida market.
The Vice President of Operations is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the agency and is a member of the senior management and executive team for the agency. The position will recommend strategies for improving day-to-day operations and will implement approved processes and procedures that will enhance the performance of the agency. The position will work closely with the Managing Co-Owners to establish annual financial and growth goals for the agency and will establish and implement best operational practices within the agency to help meet those goals. The position will assure adequately trained and skilled team members are in place to achieve all agency objectives and goals.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all day-to-day agency operational activities
- Identify opportunities for new processes and improvements
- Recruit, hire, develop, mentor, and maintain a dynamic team of professionals.
- Supervises all support team department managers
- Develop a business plan and financial goals for the agency, through collaboration with management. Achieves financial goals through execution of approved plans and strategies, for support staff
- Manage budgets, approve expenses, and prepare timely reports as requested.
- Fulfills other duties as assigned
Relationships and Roles:
This position will report to the agency Co-Owners and will work with the Executive Team, Leavitt Group management and key personnel, and agency department managers.
Skills and Job Qualifications:
- Strong management & leadership skills
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, works well with others across the organization and its locations
- Bachelors or Associates is preferred but not required
- Experience with agency management systems and system conversions
- Experience with MS Excel, MS Word and Power Point applications
- Understanding of insurance products and insurance client requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Previous experience in the insurance industry PREFFERED
- If not licensed, must agree to be Property & Casualty and Life & Health licensed within 1-year of employment
Working Conditions:
- The position is primarily an office position
- Will perform work on a computer (desktop and laptop), mobile phone (voice, email, text, and data), and office phone throughout the day
- Travel as required to corporate events and meetings
