The Role
The VP Product and IT Design will be responsible for owning the strategy development of Lumen’s User Experience, Customer Experience, Business Processes & API, and our go forward Marketplace strategy. Overall, the VP Product and IT Design will be responsible for owning Lumen’s digital strategy via a lens of customer obsession.
The Main Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain best practices and relationships to meet changing business needs.
- The Design leader will be responsible for working with various executives across Product and IT to define and set our digital strategy.
- Responsible for managing Lumen’s Marketplace strategy, design and future product migration efforts.
- Develop and present future design vision, including storyboards and user journey maps, to the executive leadership team and key stakeholders.
- Lead efforts to evaluate best in class customer experiences outside of Lumen’s industry to find ways to incorporate familiar and frictionless experiences into our products.
- Partner with Product and IT leaders to create best in class digital experiences, serve as customer/user advocate in considering digital decisions that impact our customers.
- Collaborate with senior leadership in product, program management and technology teams in creating improved product design, development and performance practices.
- Provide input to changing go-to-market strategies to stay on top of industry trends and meet organizational revenue goals.
- Define, implement and maintain business processes and procedures to meet business objectives.
- Analyze and identify opportunities for business process improvements.
- Develop initiatives for continuous business process improvements.
- Responsible for leading teams dedicated to Automated Process Improvements (API)
What We Look For in a Candidate
- MBA or equivalent strongly preferred.
- 10+ years relevant experience in related fields and minimum 5 years of management experience.
- Ability to establish credibility and rapport with a broad set of executives and cross functional peer groups.
- Recognizable as a leader, possessing outstanding communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to collaborate across multiple organizations and management levels.
- Superior results orientation focused on customer obsession and a demonstrated track of success.
- Strong executive presence, presentation skills and negotiation skills aimed at driving business outcomes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and distill large amounts of information to set and deliver strategy.
- High degree of adaptability.
- Experience working for a publicly held, US-owned, global corporation preferred.
- Demonstrated success in developing teams and creating high function organizations.

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
