The Role

At Banter, we are the fine jewelry and piercing oasis where you’re free to unabashedly celebrate all of your possibilities. As a Virtual Trainer, you are the ultimate brand ambassador and subject matter expert. Training comes naturally to you and you delight in teaching others. You will pass on your knowledge and passion for the brand through industry-leading facilitation skills and content development to all team members. You pride yourself in knowing Banter and having elevated verbal communication skills. As the Virtual Trainer, you will be responsible for overseeing the Virtual Training Program and effectively executing the logistics to manage classes. You will uptrain and coach supporting team members to sharpen their training and facilitation skills. Additionally providing support to Signet’s learning & development initiatives and programs.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for generating and updating training content to ensure that all material reflects Banner policies and procedures
  • Interact with OPS team, field team and leadership to provide updates and collaborate new ideas
  • Spend time with the field or visiting stores to ensure training content is relevant and to observe areas of opportunity
  • Communicate feedback about the onboarding program gathered from the trainees
  • Spend time training the field on soft skills or other skills needed to expand their technological knowledge and facilitation
  • Gather insights from the field on what is working well and how we can improve
  • Support the field and their team members in a respectful and customer-orientated demeanor
  • Hold monthly recaps for the facilitators to provide feedback and any additional training required to successfully facilitate or support the program
  • Track reporting for Virtual Training success and provide information to the Field Training Manager

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3 years of retail experience, preferably a jewelers or specialty retailer
  • Experience facilitating training in person or virtually
  • Knowledgeable in instructional design & eLearning platforms
  • Experience with Canva, Articulate or other art/media software
  • Proficient in MS Office and related business and communication tools
  • Exceptional communication skills to train and teach in a clear and concise manner
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

The salary range for this opportunity is $19/hr - $23/hr. Base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job related knowledge, skills and experience, among other factors.
