KEY OBJECTIVE(S)

The main role of the Visual & Design Coordinator is to:

• Support the Design Team with planning studies, visual merchandising, procurement of fixtures, furniture, and props for a multi-brand large-scale tenant.
• Provide additional design support for varied ongoing design projects, as required
• Administer and organize the procurement process.
• Collaborate with the Design Manager, Vendors, and Brand Owners to fulfill the seasonal program requirements of the multiple brands within the tenant’s space.
• This role reports to the Design Manager.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare design packages for tenant presentations that include layout configurations, fixture selection and placement, integration of branded elements, props, finishes, and color schemes.
• Coordinate with Vendors for the purchase of retail fixtures, furniture, hardware, and props.
• Support the Visual Team to design and implement creative visual merchandising strategies.
• Create appealing window displays, signs, interior displays, and promotional displays.
• Maintain a file saving protocol for efficient tracking of procured items and design progress.
• Collaborate with the Design Team to define the objectives within each project to determine the best approach for optimal results.
• Brainstorm with in-house Design Manager for design execution across a variety of deliverables

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Post-secondary education with a degree in Interior Design or Visual Merchandising
• A minimum of two (2) years-experience in a related field
• Basic knowledge of retail design fundamentals and retail operational functions
• Software proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator, InDesign, Excel
• Strong administrative skills
• Detail-oriented
• Effective time-management skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
• Ability to identify and solve problems both independently and collaboratively
• Strong work ethic with a team-oriented mindset
