UNPAID VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY

Volunteer Recognition and Appreciation

Help our team show appreciation and recognize our volunteers for their participation and contributions. Develop and implement celebrations of success with acts of appreciation through formal and informal methods.

  • Promote disaster departmental participation in formal Red Cross recognition programs
  • Develop and ensure implementation of informal and formal Disaster Cycle Services volunteer appreciation events and programs
  • Support supervisors by providing ideas, tips, and reminders for ways to informally and formally recognize volunteers in collaboration with Volunteer Services Recognition and Appreciation lead
  • Promote a culture that supports volunteerism by reinforcing the importance of daily volunteer appreciation
  • Engage volunteers to accomplish assigned tasks
  • Participate on the Disaster Workforce Engagement team
  • Represent Disaster Cycle Services on the Volunteer Services region recognition group
  • Serve as the primary regional representative (or assign designee) on Division Disaster Readiness Workgroups

Time commitment

Approximately 2 hours per month, working remotely and on-site. Greater commitment of time during the annual recognition time period.
