The Warehouse Associate/DC Power Technician is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the warehouse facility, performing DC Power projects in the warehouse area and working in the field when needed.
Reporting Relationship: The Warehouse Associate/DC Power Technician reports to the Service Manager
Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Attend and participate in safety training
- Adhere to all company and industry safety policies and procedures
- Adhere to applicable customer, industry, and manufacturer's maintenance/installation methods and standards
- Proper operation of basic tools and test equipment
- Proper operation of material handling equipment
- Supply and organize trucks with all equipment necessary to perform job functions
- Continually train and develop to advance responsibilities
- Develops strong line of communication between service manager and within all departments utilizing service
- Performs additions, removals, and modifications on working equipment and circuits
- Battery additions , removals and replacements
- Secondary DC Power additions, removals and replacements
- Run, test and terminate Alarms
- Installation of common wireless equipment such as Fuse Panels and other Power Equipment
- Addition or removal of common systems equipment and hardware
- Addition or removal of wiring connections on non-working equipment
- Lead verification and continuity testing
- Analysis of job specifications, drawings, and documentation
- Be able to perform in-process and final quality inspections
- Power transition work
- Day to day warehouse duties including general housekeeping and receiving equipment
- Complete and maintain certifications on equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
Skills/Knowledge
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong organizational skills
- Basic electrical knowledge
- Knowledge of DC power equipment, specifically in telecommunications, switchgear and control and UPS industries
- Ability to work with a range of tools, from wrenches to multimeters
- Strong technical and spatial reasoning abilities
- Efficient in Microsoft Office software
- Possess troubleshooting skills and be able to effectively operate basic equipment

Travel Expectations
- Up to 10% based on HMC projects and needs
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have and be able to maintain a current driver's license and acceptable driving record per HM Cragg insurance carrier standard
- Must pass a physical exam, background check and pre-employment drug screening
- Must be able to work flexible hours, days, and overtime, as needed
- Must maintain compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) random drug and alcohol screening requirements
- Ability to maintain a valid driver's license
- Must pass a physical exam, background check and pre-employment drug screening
- Ability to work at various heights
- Ability to lift items greater than 25lbs (and up to 150 lbs.) multiple times a day
