Huston Electric, Inc.— Warehouse/Fleet Manager

Huston Electric, Inc. is an Indiana fourth generation, family-owned business that specializes in electrical contracting and service since 1939. We are seeking a full time Warehouse/Fleet Manager. This individual must possess a strong work ethic and communication skills. We are offering an hourly rate of $20-$23/hour based on experience. General Summary

Responsible for all warehouse operations and coordination of materials and inventory so that the department is managed in a safe and cost-efficient manner leading to successful and profitable completion of projects awarded to Huston Electric, from planning through close of job. The Warehouse Manager works with the project managers, job site foremen, purchasing manager, sales, and support teams for the achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term account goals in line with company vision and values. Responsible for all large asset management and tracking implementation for Huston Electric including trucks, trailers, tools, equipment, etc.

Primary Responsibilities

• Managing warehouse personnel.
• Maintain and keep the warehouse in a clean & orderly fashion.
• Coordinating the loading and unloading of outgoing and incoming materials. Give packing slips to the appropriate person to inform them their materials have arrived.
• Work within any company provided software to track shipping and receiving.
• Scheduling delivery of parts and tools to job sites.
• Adhering to and implementing warehouse safety regulations.
• Maintain electrical inventory.
• Communicate with field employees and ensure timely delivery of materials to job site.
• Work with Purchasing Manager to return material and ensure project receives proper and timely credit.
• Manage and track all license plates, registrations, and insurance, for Huston’s vehicles, trailers, and equipment.
• Prepare tracking reports for all large assets of the company and for regular maintenance of our vehicle fleet including the management of our vehicle inspection program.
• Attend company and vendor training events to better your knowledge of existing and new products.
• Attend company and industry functions as required by upper management.
