Overview and Responsibilities
Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Wound Care Fulfillment Specialist to join our team. In this position, you are responsible for selecting, packing, check all wound care orders and insure that all orders are ship correctly in a timely manner.
- Mon- Fri 8am-5pm or 8:30am-6pm
- Check all orders for accuracy
- Fulfills all wound care orders daily in accordance with departmental policies, procedures and goals
- Maintains a dialog with the inventory team to address low stock levels
- Maintains appropriate kit levels and reports any shortages
- May lead, guide and train staff/student employees, interns and/or volunteers performing related work; may participate in the recruitment of volunteers, as appropriate to the area of operation
- Palletize and wrap all packages to insure safe transition to carrier
- Prepare all orders for shipping, by utilizing effective packing techniques in the smallest container possible
- Processes all completed packages and affix proper shipping label
- Steps in as Warehouse Clerk or Warehouse Specialist as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Employment is contingent on
- Background investigation (company-wide)
- Drug screen ( when applicable for the position )
- Valid driver's license in state of residence with a clean driving record (when applicable for the position)
- High school diploma or GED equivalent, required
- Experience in medical field and distribution, preferred
- Strong computer skills, preferred
- Ability to differentiate between similar products with 100% accuracy
- Ability to distinguish between products
- Ability to utilize a computer and operate select functions within the Warehouse Management System
- Accurately perform simple mathematical calculations
- Effectively communicate in English; both oral and written
- Interpret a variety of communications (verbal, non-verbal, written, listening and visual)
- Knowledge of medical equipment, preferred
- Maintain confidentiality, discretion and caution when handling sensitive information
- Multi-task along with attention to detail
- Self-motivation, organized, time-management and deductive problem solving skills
- Utilization of certain material handling equipment
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Requires sitting, walking, standing, talking or listening
- Requires close vision to small print on computer / tablet and or paperwork
- Frequent bending, stooping and kneeling
- Frequent twisting, pulling and reaching
- Lifting minimum is 50 lbs.
- Manipulate pallets of product using a hand truck
- Occasional climbing
- Occasional sitting
- Use hand held devices (RDT) and to interpret small print
- Walking and standing 100% of the day
- Email transmission and communication
- Internet navigation and research
- Microsoft applications; Word and Excel
- Office equipment; fax machine, copier, printer, phone and computer / tablet
