Job Type

Full-time (1 positions open)

Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year
Shift: First (Monday-Friday)
Work hours: 6 AM - 4:30 PM

Qualifications

o High school or equivalent (Preferred)

o Two to Five Years Shipping/Receiving management experience in a Manufacturing Environment (Preferred)

o Two years shipping experience processing shipments via various carriers and methods (i.e., FedEx, UPS, LTL, etc.) (Preferred)

Full Job Description

Responsible for supervising personnel receiving product, pulling orders, loading trucks for next-day delivery, and processing paperwork relating to product delivery. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.

Supervises the warehouse staff including scheduling, providing training and guidance, establishing job standards, and evaluating performance.

Ensures timely, accurate and complete order pulling for all orders pulled during the shift. Ensures all orders are loaded in their entirety and in proper stop sequence on the assigned truck and trailer and completes all necessary paperwork.

Ensures all product received during the shift is stocked properly and that first-in/first-out warehouse procedures are followed for all stock rotation.

Demonstrates a strong service quality ethic through personal example. Ensures that all associates have a thorough understanding of their individual roles in meeting or exceeding internal and external customer expectations.

Coordinates pick planning in conjunction with the Shipping Manager.

Utilization of Company's warehouse management system and other technologies available to maximize productivity. Analyzes the productivity levels of the warehouse operation and recommends appropriate changes.

Handles building security to include locking warehouse and setting alarms after the shift. Ensures the safe operation of all material handling. Complies with Company’s health and safety programs.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for tracking departmental metrics and KPI’s
• Organize assembly workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks
• Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching
• Pass on information from upper management to employees and/or vice versa
• Motivate team members and create strategies to boost productivity
• Prepare and submit daily reports
• Assist in planning and establish work schedules, staffing requirements, and production sequesters to maximize productivity
• Follow and enforce all established policies, procedures, and recognized practices
• Monitor production to resolve issues
• Monitor performance of facility personnel
• Work with management team to determine amount of necessary resources
• Ensure output meets quality standards
• Identify the needs of maintenance work, purchasing of equipment etc.
• Enforce health and safety precautions
• Prepare and analyze daily, weekly productivity reports and address issues with the team
• Ensure accurate inventory control for products
• Actively participate in warehouse planning and meetings. Perform daily stand-up huddles with associates and communicate daily expectations and any upcoming schedule changes
