The Merge Operator uses technology to operate all merge conveyors within the distribution center environment. They work closely with the loading dock team to provide a steady flow of product to the docks. They maintain wave integrity to ensure proper load sequence and minimize out-of-sequence cases. A solid understanding of and experience with the selection and loading process is helpful.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Start and stop conveyor lines to control the flow of product.
- Monitor and report (for each loading door) the percentage of line capacity that is diverted or aborted.
- Monitor outlying conveyor lines to ensure each department is selecting proper wave numbers and keeping up with the rest of the operation.
- Monitor software alarms for jams, motor overloads, and stoppages and coordinates resolution of those issues.
- Coordinate breaks, lunches, and trailer changes.
- Work safely to prevent injury to people and damage to products and equipment.
- This position has additional duties; special projects may be assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
