We are recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to work as an integral part of the Warehouse team processing LHR and Gateway shipments on the night shift. This is a great opportunity to join a highly experienced team and develop your skills in a secure and regulated environment.
Shifts 4 on 4 off 6pm-6am Competitive Salary
What will you be doing?
- Receiving and booking of inbound export and import freight (using GXD system)
- Loading and unloading of vehicles using forklift truck.
- Sort and split freight as per customer SOP’s.
- Use handheld scanners as part of the warehouse management system.
- Frequently complete manual handling tasks.
- Determine most appropriate screening method in adherence with CAA guidelines (x-ray, hand search, visual check, ETD) and complete all x-ray screening
- Adherence to all regulatory body processes and procedures as per training i.e. CAA, ETSF etc
About You
- Previous experience of working in an airfreight warehouse environment
- Counterbalance forklift licence is essential
- Good understanding of written and spoken English and basic mathematical skills is essential
- Basic geographical knowledge is desirable
- Minimum Cargo Operative AVSEC training (Can complete in house),
- 5 year checkable history.
