Wolfe Textiles in Shoemakersville, Pa is seeking an Open-Up Operator to join our team. Your contribution will be responsible for pulling customer inventory from the warehouse and processing it by unrolling and/or sewing rolls of fabric to prepare for dyeing, according to the customers’ orders. Our customers are nation-wide so you are very important to us!

Responsibilities

Part of your contribution is to,

Read and understand work orders

Find correct Lot of rolls in warehouse using provided paperwork

Unroll the material rolls in the manner described on the work order

Weigh the Lot, Mark ends of rolls and Sew together as needed

Troubleshoot during process

Perform daily cleaning of area

Understand the basics of the dye/bleach/finish business (we will train)

Other work related tasks manager asks of you

Requirements

Safety at all times, Wear PPE: Safety glasses and appropriate clothing

Read and understand English

Ability to focus and pay attention to detail

Get a work out by regularly lifting 40 lbs., and,

Push/Pull wheeled boxes from one area of plant to another, avg load of 200 lbs.

Stand for most of the shift

Operate various tow motor vehicles, including pallet jack (will be trained)

Communicate with peers and supervisors about problems that arise during processing

Work as a team member

Understand basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)

Work 8-12 hour shifts and overtime

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 per hour
