Job description
This position is responsible for nightly productivity/output, advancing operational goals and managing team members for a Distribution Center. A supervisor is a key member of our Operational management team and will be responsible for contributing to the effort of ensuring a smooth operation to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction both safely and efficiently. Must be willing to take a “hands-on” approach to leading, coaching and developing staff. This position reports to the Warehouse Manager.
Job Responsibilities
- Enforces company policies & procedures. Supervise, monitor and evaluate team members productivity for the Distribution Center
- Trains new team members in their assignments. Facilitates team member development by conducting on-the-job training, performance appraisals, and needs assessments.
- Responsible for recommending and assisting in the development of training curricula.
- Ensure the proper handling and maintenance of pallet jacks, forklifts, CDL trucks and other operational equipment
- Ship product according to customer specifications and/or requirements
- Ensure company standard of operational safety. Lead and participate in regular safety meetings as well as recommend improvements in company safety programs.
- Maintains company standard for facility sanitation and organization.
- Develop, review and recommend operational improvements regarding processes, equipment and best practices.
- Assists Warehouse Manager as needed
Basic Qualifications & Criteria
- High School diploma/GED and at least 2-5 years experience in a leadership position (in a distribution or production environment).
- At least 2-5 years experience in distribution, warehousing, or logistics.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and working with reports.
- Willing to work rotating shifts.
- Experience coaching, mentoring and training others.
Preferred Qualifications & Criteria
- Associate’s degree a plus
- Experience working in a Foodservice Distribution Environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
