Warehouse Supervisor (Outbound/Shipping) -2nd Shift
Job description
Wilson Sporting Goods would like to announce an opening for our Mt. Juliet Warehouse in our Outbound (Shipping) Department. We are seeking a talented 2nd-shift Supervisor (Hours-2:30pm-11:30pm) that has experience in the warehouse distribution environment to join the 2nd shift team. This position leads the shipping department and reports to the 2nd shift manager.
The chosen candidate will supervise in-house production in the following manner:
- Maintains a positive working relationship with other Outbound supervisors and managers that puts our facility in the best position for success when first shift arrives. This includes directing our crew in picking, packing orders, replenishing bins, and putting away stock. The net goal is to prepare our facility, so each shift can reach maximum
- Accomplishes distribution of products by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job reports, assignments, and results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and Ensure production standards and deadlines are met.
- Look for ways to improve processes and productivity
- Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth Completing employee evaluations and reviews
- Payroll timecard entry
- Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization Assist in expediting orders and providing customer service
- Ensure inventory accuracy of department
- Ensures operation of equipment by calling for
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all equipment and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and
- This is a working supervisor position. Be prepared once team is in place to also assist in the work being
- Other tasks as assigned by 2nd shift manager
The following is a list of requirements that qualifies a respective candidate for the opportunity.
- SAP experience
- Must be able to communicate effectively when speaking, writing, and reading
- Microsoft Excel experience
- Basic Math Skills
- Critical Thinking Skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Work well under pressure
- Experience with employee relations on a department level (will have support from 2nd shift manager)
- Prefer experience supervising teams with 50+ members
- Ability to work in a diverse workforce environment
- Must be certified or be able to pass certification on electric pallet jack, dock stocker, and reach truck
