Cawley Environmental Services, Inc. is seeking a Water and Wastewater Operator (certification preferred). Cawley Environmental Services, Inc. (CES) is a local environmental services company that has been in business for 20 years. We are a circuit rider company that provides operations and maintenance services to municipalities and the private sector for water and wastewater treatment facilities in eastern Pennsylvania. We are looking for mechanically inclined people to join our team who possess the highest level of ethics, morals, professionalism, and initiative, while providing high quality services.

We are located at 117 Robbins Road in Downingtown, Pennsylvania.

Key Responsibilities of the Water and Wastewater Operator:

• Monitor and control water treatment & delivery systems
• Perform routine daily sampling, testing, inspections, and analysis
• Follow standard operating procedures for water treatment/disinfection or wastewater treatment; inspect and maintain pumps, tubing, and other equipment used in treatment process
• Maintain treatment chemical inventory and accurate records
• Perform required analysis for environmental testing and reporting
• Ensure plant is well maintained to allow for maximum reliability and regulatory authority compliance
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control problems and make minor repairs

Qualifications:

• Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent required
• Associate degree in a technical field preferred
• Water and Wastewater Treatment experience preferred
• Ability to work with pumps, strainers and other similar equipment required
• Must have necessary DEP certification or secure necessary certification within 18 months of hire
• Valid PA non-commercial Class C driver’s license required
• Ability to work some holidays and some weekends required
• Ability to pass drug test and background checks required

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Successful candidates will be able to exhibit full range of motion for tasks such as climbing ladders and structures, balancing, kneeling, grasping, as well as tolerate heights, lift up to 75 pounds, and work outdoors in all types of weather.

Pay: $18.00 - $27.00 per hour

License/Certification:

• DEP Certification (Preferred)
• Driver's License (Required)
