Job Description Pond Maintenace Technician

Responsible for execution of pond maintenance and clean-outs to customers, as well as providing on-site sales as needed to deliver superior service to customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Execution of pond maintenance and clean-outs
• Pond repairs and improvements as needed
• Determine materials to stock each day for jobs
• Determine routing schedule for the day’s jobs

Determine which jobs will be handled in which order

• Purchase necessary materials for jobs as required
• Recommend pond improvements, water treatments, lighting additions, or other enhancements
• Responsible for vehicle maintenance
• Responsible for the collection and tracking of payroll hours
• Prepare bids for customer work to be done
• Inventory control and ordering
• Some pond building on larger repairs and rebuilds expected

REQUIRED experience and proficiencies

• 18-years or older
• Valid driver’s license
• Available to work Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Punctuality required.
• Ability to travel to multiple site locations to meet the needs of the business
• Safety-conscious individual
• Team player
• Good verbal skills
• Available to work weekends when necessary

Preferred education/experience

• Knowledge of pond industry
• Knowledge of pool industry, plumbing, landscaping, or horticulture are Useful skills to

Work environment

• This position requires working outdoors, often through inclement weather conditions.

Physical demands

• The position lifts heavy objects, walks, and stands for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. and be able to bend, stoop, and squat throughout an 8-10 hour shift.
