This is a full time, open-ended appointment

We’re looking for an experienced web and social media manager who is passionate about higher education

As the web content manager, you’ll own both the content on and information architecture of our website continuing to develop them so they support the recruitment of 10,000+ students annually and help to boost our reputation as a global leader in teaching and research.

You’ll also be responsible for our key corporate social media channels, our graphic designer, and advising on our staff intranet.

You’ll manage a team of content editors, a social media officer and a graphic designer plus freelance staff and contractors. You will be great at commissioning, creating, producing and advising on copy, video, photography and infographics.

You’ll need to understand and be experienced in writing SEO content, applying SEO best practice and using keyword research tools. You’ll also need also to be organised, with excellent negotiating and project management skills and the ability to lead and develop a content management strategy.

As part of the Marketing and External Relations team, you’ll work closely with colleagues in the directorate, in IT and across the wider university, to ensure that the website is engaging, accessible, informative, intuitive and meets the needs of a broad range of stakeholders.

Remuneration:

Grade 8 of the College's London Pay Scale which is £47,376 rising to £55,766 per annum

The salary quoted is on the College's London Pay Scale which includes a consolidated Weighting/Allowance which applies only to staff whose normal contractual place of work is in the London area.
