About the Department:
The Department of Marketing, Student Recruitment and Admissions (MSRA) delivers a

professional and responsive service to the University to ensure that student number targets are met and exceeded through the recruitment of well-qualified applicants. This includes development and delivery of exciting marketing campaigns to communicate the values of SOAS and the benefits of studying here, and in-person recruitment across UK, EU and International markets to programmes delivered on-campus, via distance and online learning, and through our partnerships overseas.

The Marketing, Student Recruitment and Admissions team will work particularly closely with central professional services including Advancement, Partnerships, Registry, SEER, IT, Legal and Governance, Estates and all the Departmental teams.

About the Role

SOAS University of London is looking to appoint an experienced Web Content Editor to join the Marketing, Student Recruitment and Admissions team. Reporting to the Deputy Director of Marketing, the post is key to ensuring the newly-launched University website is simplified, consolidated and standardised to improve user experience.

The post-holder will help maintain, proactively monitor, and seek new ways to improve and optimise the university website. You will be responsible for using web analytics tools to help improve user journeys and inform content and web strategy decisions.

You will have the knowledge and skills to develop information architectures and content management strategies to ensure University information is effectively communicated to all audiences. An understanding of accessibility requirements and search engine optimisation is essential.

You will have experience of writing, editing, and creating impactful web copy.

About you: You will need to demonstrate experience of UX writing or creating content for digital platforms, of writing for the web and creating/optimising web pages and images. A strong understanding of SEO and experience of advising and training on all web aspects of digital content
