We are looking for an experienced Web Developer to join our Digital Marketing team. If you are looking to work with a global organization that works with new and emerging technologies, this role could be for you. Your responsibilities will include:
- Design, develop, and troubleshoot Java-based web applications.
- Create technical specifications to implement or pass to local and/or off-site consultants for development.
- Multi-task and can on several projects at a time.
- Manage time and priorities to ensure that commitments are met and that the lines of communication are flowing to the development manager
- Use industry best practices to deliver high-quality code written for efficiency, readability, and reuse.
- React quickly and responsibly to operational issues on public websites.
- Participate or lead design discussions and project status meetings, and also in code deployments to live websites, sometimes during off-peak hours.
What You Need to Succeed
- Bachelor's degree in business information, computer science, or related major; will consider equivalent business experience.
- 5-10+ years of web development work experience using Java
- Working experience with JavaScript, front-end web technologies, and other fundamentals such as HTML, CSS selectors, REST services, JSON data format, etc
- Implementing AEM 6. x or a similar web content management system, preferably front-end and back-end development
- Ability to react quickly and responsibly to operational issues on public websites
- Self-starter with self-initiative and direction
- Experience in other associated technologies such as Sling, OSGi, Felix, Jackrabbit, JCR, CRX
- Practical working knowledge or experience with web servers such as Apache
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
