Security Officer / Caretaker

Pay

Your pay will never be wrong with Britsafe. You can check your pay, including holidays, live, on-line. Any discrepancies can be reviewed before payday, so you can be assured your pay is 100% correct, 100% of the time.

This is a dual role as a security officer, but also on occasion like factory shut downs, conducting some light maintenance like painting. Whilst doing the security role the pay is £9.80 per hour. Whilst doing maintenance the pay is £11.30 per hour.

We estimate that 66% of the time will be £9.80 per hour, and 33% will be £11.30 per hour giving an average of £10.30

Britsafe is an Employee-Owned Company. This means that after 12 month’s service, provided company targets are met then employees are entitled to tax-free, profit related bonus payments (These bonuses are excluded from Benefits calculation so will not affect any employees who receive Benefits)

Location

The site is based at Rochdale, OL11 and free car parking is available.

Shift Times

We are looking for someone to work Saturday and Sunday days, 24 hours a week in total. Additional work is available to cover your colleagues holidays. Ideal for a second job.

Wherever possible we will endeavour to be flexible with shift times to respect people’s commitments, but this will be dependent on client requirements

The Role

This is a dual role as security officer at a factory, who also assists the client in preparing the factory for use in the mornings. This includes:

· Taking bin bags to relevant waste area (regular waste, recycling etc)

· Conducting patrols

· Re-stocking soap and towel dispensers

· Sweeping out certain production areas after night-shift staff have finished

The pay whilst conducting “standard duties” is £9.80 per hour.

The pay whilst conducting “maintenance tasks” is £11.30 per hour. These are occasional activities, typically during factory shut downs and might include activities like painting car park lines, painting warning lines on the factory floor etc

None of the tasks involved would include cleaning activities.

This role would suit an active person who likes to feel part of the client’s team, wants to get stuck in, and is happy to undertake additional tasks for enhanced pay.

This is a licensable role so applicants must have a valid SIA license. Applicants without such a license will be automatically rejected.
