We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Wound Care Nurse to join our team in Amityville, Long Island. The Wound Care RN will assist in the organization, development and care of all wound care service. Formulated, prioritizes and documents nursing diagnosis consistent with the assessment data.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Perform a head-to-toe wound assessment on all patients upon admission and through continuous care.
• Continuous care plan revisions and assessments as indicated by the patient’s response to treatment and evaluate overall plan for daily effectiveness.
• Knowledge of medications and their correct administration appropriate for patients and their clinical condition.
• Ability to perform treatments and provide services in accordance with federal, state, regulatory, and company standards.
• Daily communication with residents and their families to provide medical and wound updates.
• Ensure the delivery of quality patient care is rendered at all times.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• NYS Registered Nurse License.
• Experience in Wound Care required.
• Current certification in BLS and ACLS.
• Wound Care Certification Preferred
• Strong communication and patient care skills.
