X-ray Technician
Job description
Healthcare Staffing Professionals has an immediate need for a X-ray technician with expertise in occupational health to join our team. As an X-ray tech in occupational health, you will be responsible for conducting diagnostic imaging tests on employees who may have been exposed to hazardous materials or have suffered work-related injuries. This is a full-time position, and the ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, knowledge of radiographic equipment and procedures, and a passion for ensuring the safety and health of our employees.
Pay Rate-
$53.99/hr + $4.60/hr Health & welfare benefit stipend
Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostic imaging tests on employees who may have been exposed to hazardous materials or have suffered work-related injuries.
- Follow strict safety procedures to protect yourself and patients from exposure to radiation.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information, including imaging results, medical history, and any relevant occupational health and safety data.
- Educate patients on the imaging process, including the risks and benefits of the procedure and any preparations they need to make before the exam.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure that imaging tests are conducted accurately and that patients receive appropriate care.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant occupational health and safety regulations.
- Maintain and troubleshoot equipment to ensure that it is functioning properly and that imaging results are of the highest quality.
- Keep up-to-date with new advances in radiographic equipment and techniques, as well as changes in occupational health and safety regulations and standards.
Requirements:
- Associates degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in radiologic technology, with specific experience in occupational health preferred.
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of radiographic equipment and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Flexibility to work varied hours and shifts, as needed.
