JOB DESCRIPTION
We know that nothing captures the energy and excitement at a school like a yearbook filled with photographs and achievements of students. And while parents can appreciate how quickly time will pass and those events will fade, students likely aren’t thinking that way. We work with client schools to help students have truly lasting memories and assist schools with the production and marketing of their yearbook each year. With our help, schools tell the story and curate the memories that will be shared for a lifetime.
If you are in the market for a fast-paced job that gives you the opportunity to utilize your excellent sales ability and work with schools, we are looking for an energetic and motivated Yearbook Sales Representative to add to our existing team in Central New York. This is a 1099 Sales Rep position.

- You have a degree or experience in sales, business, communications, journalism, education, or a related field
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Manage a sales office as an Independent yearbook sales professional
- Sell yearbook programs and products in assigned schools within a designated territory
- Plan and successfully execute variety of sales approaches (cold calling; presentations, virtual and in-person; partnering with other Herff Jones and Varsity Brands entities; etc.)
- Make sales calls to a wide variety of contacts: District officials, Principals, Finance Officers, PTOs, Class Advisors, Student Groups, Coaches, Athletic Directors, Student Activities Directors
- Develop new business, grow existing accounts, and minimize lost business to achieve profitable sales growth
- Communicate with all current and potential customers on a regular basis
- Assist customer accounts in all phases of yearbook production to ensure on-time delivery and timely invoicing of products sold
- Furnish accurate information on sales stage progress, account servicing activity, and territory revenue potential
- Maintain accurate account data records in Salesforce.com platform for all accounts in the territory
- Attend all local, regional and national sales meetings to remain current on products, programs, and processes
- Serve as an ambassador of our company, becoming a trusted face to our customers while also adhering to company values and policy
EXTRA POINTS FOR…
- Proven sales experience with a track record of over-achieving quota
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite applications
- Graphic Design or Print Media experience
- Experience with Salesforce.com or another CRM platform
