We are currently seeking Health Care Assistants to join our Bank to help on our busy but rewarding In-Patient Unit (IPU).

We are currently seeking Bank Health Care Assistants to work in our 10 bedded In-Patient Unit (IPU) as part of our multi-disciplinary team to assist in the provision of a high level of specialist palliative care. The care provided will be in accordance with the hospice vision and values to ensure we can achieve the mission of Teesside Hospice.

Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the organisation and your own availability. Holiday pay will be accrued monthly dependant on the number of hours worked.

Our Health Care Assistants provide patient-centred, holistic care within our In-patient Unit (IPU) alongside other healthcare professionals. They provide an excellent standard of care to patients with palliative and end-of-life care needs whilst also offering vital emotional support to their families.

Duties may include assisting to meet hygiene needs, monitoring symptoms, basic wound care and developing their clinical skills whilst working closely with the registered nurses.
