Accumet is an industry-leading advanced processing manufacturer for new and legacy materials fabrication, precision laser, lapping and polishing and engineering support services. We are looking for an Account Manager, with experience in contract manufacturing job shop to join our sales & marketing team in Westford, Ma. and make the move with us to our brand-new facility in Devens, MA in spring of 2023.
Job Summary
Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Manager, you will work as account manger with our account management team to help Accumet achieve its sales, quality and customer service goals. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on juggling multiple priorities in a fast - paced, quick-turnaround manufacturing environment. Effective sales, customer service and client management skills are essential to thrive in this position. Good communication and a friendly, positive attitude are the foundation of this role as most of the time will be spent handling the needs of both our new and repeat clients. Motivation, time management, focus, attention-to-detail, and teamwork are additional key components to success. This position may also include occasional local client visits and tradeshow attendance. A big plus is if you have business development and/ or marketing experience.
Responsibilities
- Establishing, nurturing, and maintaining repeat/new client relationships.
- Reaching out to inactive clients via phone and email.
- Ability to create, process and follow through with client requests; generating quotes; and receiving purchase orders.
- Regular client contact communications with the utmost respect and professionalism.
- Following established ISO policies/ procedures to ensure that the overall customer experience is smooth and fulfilling.
- Process customer RMA according to established policies and procedures.
- Worked closely with our Planning Department to assure orders are processed and shipped on time.
- Assist Sales and Marketing Manager with various business development and marketing tasks
- Meet and exceed company sales growth targets, turnaround, quality, and customer satisfaction goals.
Minimum requirements:
- Familiarity with industrial technology preferred
- 2+ years in a sales or customer service environment
- 2+ years in a Account Manager role
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to mult-task, and high attention to detail
- Ability to communicate clearly and engage in dialogue with all levels of employees in and inclusionary manner
- Self-driven and motivated.
- Openness and willingness to change with the needs of the business
- Excellent written and oral communication.
- Proficient in MS Office suite and other related products.
Desired Qualifications
Business development and marketing knowledge and experience
College degree
Location: Westford, MA I( Moving to brand new building in Devens, MA early 2023)
Hours: Onsite : 8am-4:30pm with occasional overtime (Some flexibility with start time)
Reports to: Sales and Marketing Manager
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

Specific vision abilities are required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
