POSITION OBJECTIVE

Assist the management team of the Finance Department in the preparation of financial reports and analysis of financial matters.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assist in the preparation of information for the Authority’s monthly, quarterly, and annual audited financial statements including the footnotes and management discussion and analysis.

2. Assist in the research and analysis of matters as assigned including, but not limited to, analysis of accounts, analysis of financial plans, budgets & projections, and analysis of new financial reporting standards and assessments of the impact on the Authority.

3. Assist in analytical review procedures on accounts and prepare written analysis of findings.

4. Prepare adjusting entries as required.

5. Prepare account reconciliations as required.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR RELATIONSHIPS:

Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with all employees of the Authority. Represent the Authority in a positive, professional, and confidential manner in all dealings with external agencies, contractors, and all other individuals. Maintain professional demeanor even in high stress emergency and weather situations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or other business-related field and eligible to take CPA exam in the State of NJ

2. Ability to work independently

3. Demonstrated expertise in the use of Excel

4. Demonstrated ability to utilize Financial Software efficiently

5. Demonstrated understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) statements

6. Valid New Jersey Driver’s License

Pay: $59,962.00 - $83,117.00 per year
