SFI is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our growing Finance Team in our Watsonville headquarters. This position is responsible for reviewing the accuracy of invoices, data entry into the accounting system, and payment of vendor invoices according to established payment terms. This position interfaces with internal staff and external customers via phone and email.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze product invoices for pricing, quantity, and rate variances; communicate variances to appropriate internal department; post and code invoices
• Reconcile invoice registers against invoices to verify correct entry into the accounting system
• Process disbursements, maintain check register, and manage general ledger accounts
• Manage vendor accounts and analyze statements
• Assist with audits and special projects as needed

Required Skills and Experience:

• Associate's Degree in Accounting and 2+ years Accounts Payable experience; additional work experience will be considered in lieu of degree
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish a plus
• Microsoft Office and Excel proficiency required; experience with Adobe Acrobat a plus
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail with excellent follow through
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet competing deadlines
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Compensation and Benefits:

The target hiring range for this position is: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour. Compensation is based on a variety of relevant factors, including prior work experience, skills, professional qualifications, and internal pay equity.
