Job Summary
- The Activity assistant must be able to follow developed plans of care for residents or patients.
- Most of the job will be spent in direct resident contact by transporting residents to their destinations and visiting any SSB patients as directed by the Activity Coordinator or the Director of Residential care.
- The assistant will work closely with volunteers and pastoral care staff.
- The assistant will also attend monthly all staff meetings and all in-services as directed.
Education and Training:
- A minimum of high school education or GED required for full-time and part-time positions.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Ten (10) hour dining assistant course required. (Offered on-site)
- Experience in the field of gerontology is preferred.
- Nurse aide certification preferred.
Work Schedule
- Varied shifts: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, PRN
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
- $17.00 - $20.50
