ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Under general direction

1. Coordinate and supervise the recreation and creative activity program and creative arts therapy program

2. Organize and supervise the personnel in the performance of their duties

3. Assist in the recruitment of new personnel

4. Coordinate the activity department and creative arts therapy program functions with those of other departments

5. Plan Active Treatment programming for the intellectually disabled residents

6. Coordinate volunteer activities; may delegate someone within the department who is most qualified to perform the volunteer coordinator duties

7. Oversee music therapist and music memory program

8. Perform the administrative duties required of the position

9. Utilize available community resources

10. Orientate and train new personnel

11. Maintains departmental records as necessary

12. Coordinate all goals and plans for resident Individual Program Plans (IPP's), Minimum Data Sets (MDS), and Plan of Care (POC's)

13. Perform and maintain resident evaluations as related to activity skill and prevocational skill development

14. Serve on committees as appointed by the Administrator

15. Coordinate and supervise the Resident Council

16. Responsible for maintaining a departmental budget, inventory, and ordering and/or requisitioning of supplies and equipment

17. Other duties as assigned and deemed appropriate to the position

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.81 - $31.27 per hour

• Computer skills: 1 year (Preferred)
