The Department of Emergency Medicine has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Admin Assistant to Exec Dir. As a member of our administrative team, the Admin Assistant will directly support the Department Chair and leadership.
The ideal candidate for the position will have experience working at the executive level in an academic or medical administrative office. The successful candidate will be able to act independently, with multiple ongoing priorities, and demonstrate exceptional skill at anticipating needs based on existing knowledge. The individual must be detail-oriented, an experienced multitasker with a wide variety of technical skills, exceptionally well organized, and outgoing. Excellent oral and written communication skills must be demonstrated through application materials and interviews. The ability to maintain confidentiality is paramount.
Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to serving as the primary point of contact for the Chair, scheduling and meeting coordination; coordinating travel; composing correspondence; managing administrative data; consolidating electronic tracking of information; developing and implementation of administrative processes, procedures, and systems; processing payments and reimbursements; and supporting EM leadership in leading the Department of Emergency Medicine.

High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Previous administrative coordinator experience.
Experience working in an academic or medical administrative office.
Previous experience with Smartsheet or other electronic tracking system.
Excellent communication, writing and interpersonal skills.
