Job Description
GDIT is seeking an Agile Business Analyst/Scrum Master who holds active secret clearance.
The position will support a US Army program that is playing a major role in strengthening and modernizing a new combat vehicle, Optionally Manned Fighting Vehicle (OMFV), required to address emerging requirements by integrating critical enabling technologies on close combat platforms to ensure continued overmatch against peer threats while maintaining growth margins that allow continued and periodic capability upgrades. GDIT will develop and deliver a digital engineering design solution that enables and integrates the program’s complete set of data, tools, and model-based systems engineering (MBSE) activities, and makes them available to internal and appropriate external engineering and programmatic stakeholders throughout the program’s lifecycle.
This effort will be focused as the lead program for the Army MOSA implementation while following a digital engineering process for adapting to changes in technology and threats for the full life cycle of OMFV without extensive, costly and time-consuming redesigns.
For this effort, GDIT will use cloud-based concepts including IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service); PaaS (Platform as a Service); and SaaS (Software as a service) and containerization concepts including Terraform and Docker to buildout the DEE. Together, the application of these concepts will result in a Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC).
GDIT’s implementation of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) emphasizes understands the need for compliance, model-based systems engineering (MBSE), and extensive traceability while providing an agile, lean systems, iterative environment for product development. On the Digital Engineer Environment (DEE) Program, this will be accomplished by implementing the SAFe for Large Solutions model. This will progress from Requirement, to Capability, to Feature, to Story, to Release.
The duties of an Agile Business Analyst / Scrum Master will include:
Responsibilities:
Responsible for acting an Agile Analyst and maximizing and prioritizing the value of work the team performs.
Responsible for creating, maintaining, prioritizing, and communicating the Product Backlog to create high value and meet business partner requirements.
Serving as a proxy Product Owner
Organize and facilitate SCRUM ceremonies: daily standups, Sprint Planning/Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews/Demos, and Retrospectives
Decomposing Epics into Features and User Stories down to detailed functional and nonfunctional requirements.
Responsible for the requirements gathering and conveying the requirements to the team.
Act as the key decision-maker, along with engaging with business partner, regarding what will be delivered and when.
Enable team to become self-organizing and self-managing to achieve its goals.
Participate in Daily Scrum (as needed), Backlog Refinement, Sprint Planning, PI Planning, System Demo and Retrospectives.
Ensure the team’s “definition of done” is well defined on the story, sprint, and release levels.
Inspect the progress at the end of each Program Increment prior to next by ensuring the Team Roadmap is up to date and that the Features are prioritized accordingly to the customer needs.
Be a champion for governance and processes to ensure team effectiveness.
Establish and maintain strong working relationships with all stakeholders, including customers.
Participate in Scrum of Scrum meetings to ensure cross-team collaboration and coordination of release plans and integration of testing activities.
Assist with internal and external communication and improving transparency.
Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised with an emphasis on problem solving.

Minimum/General Experience/Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and at least 4 years related experience as a project team member.
A minimum of 5 years' experience in managing projects following Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, Extreme Programming, and SAFe
Experience working with customers in gathering requirements, modeling use cases, writing user stories and documenting business processes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and be effective at communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Moderate knowledge of the JIRA tracking tool
Goal oriented, proactive, innovative, hardworking, and patient
Preferred Requirements:
Product Owner certification (CSPO, PSPO, SAFe PO/PM)
Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I, SAFe Agilist, SAFe Practitioner)
Familiar with SAFe methodology
Experience on multiple Scrum teams in a variety of different contexts (different team sizes, different organizations, different cultures, co-located vs. distributed, etc.)
Well versed in a variety of agile approaches (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, Lean at a minimum)
Active Directory (AD) Experience
Project Management Experience
BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Management
Proven communication and influence skills – ability to work broadly across disparate groups to gain agreement on direction, mediate and integrate opinions into a cohesive strategy, and present options/recommendations.
