POSITION SUMMARY:
You are an experienced product-delivery team coach. Your favorite part of the job includes team building, regular product delivery, and teaching. At the same time, you don’t mind rolling up your sleeves to pitch in anywhere needed. You have a strong bias toward action and your career has been marked by humility and clear communication.
The Agiel Coach is responsible for managing an Agile framework and ensuring that the product teams are moving forward with the agreed upon product increment goals identified for a sprint. This role is responsible for agile coaching, removing impediments, and mitigating risk identified by the teams.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Relational Agile Leadership: Lead the product team as a relational leader using Agile methodology and Scrum practices.
- Meet Customer Expectations: Support the product owner and development team in any way to meet or exceed stakeholder expectations.
- Team Self-Organization: Coach product teams in self-organization. This includes helping them to become cross-functional.
- Impediment Removal: Remove impediments and coach the team to remove impediments.
- Increase Agile Maturity: Help the product teams, product team’s leaders, and stakeholders grow in Agile maturity.
- Enterprise Impact: Contribute to the advancement of Agile practices at Signet Jewelers.
- Product Increment Alignment: Work with the Product Owner and the Development Team to help ensure alignment around a thematic, demonstrable product increment goal each sprint.
- Culture Facilitator: Facilitate team conversations using the Scrum core values of focus, openness, respect, courage, and commitment.
- Trust Enabler: Build a trusting and safe environment where concerns and frustrations can be raised with an emphasis on continual improvement.
- Focus Protector: Defend the team’s ability to create by shielding them from outside distractions and unnecessary context shifts.
- Scrum Ceremony Facilitator: Facilitate each inspect and adapt conversation with a special emphasis on product increments.
- Effort Steward: Help the team create a baseline for effort estimation in order to better track effort expended and predict effort completion timelines.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Certified Scrum Master certification a plus
Years of Job-Related Experience Required: 2+ years related experience
Technical/Other Skills Required:
- Understands Scrum Theory and the Scrum Values.
- Can expound upon the practical expression of each of the Agile Manifesto points.
- Possess knowledge of a wide assortment of Agile techniques.
- Excellent mentoring skills.
- Experience in Jira is a must, and Confluence a plus.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Able to contribute to team effort and individual achievement.
- AWS certification and experience is a strong plus.

The salary range for this opportunity is $87,500 – $100,000. Base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job related knowledge, skills and experience, among other factors.
