Title: Agriculture Science Teacher
Placement (location): Eagle Point High School
Supervisor: Principal (or designee)
Contract Days: 191 days to begin August 2023
Salary Range: $42,602 - $83,145 plus master's stipend of $2,130 (depending upon approved previous experience and graduate level credits)
Salary listed indicates current 2020-2023 Collective Bargaining Agreement - subject to change

Description:
Eagle Point School District is seeking a dynamic, high-energy Agricultural Science teacher to become a member of our team. Courses could include animal science, agricultural business, agricultural manufacturing, landscape methods and others to be determined based on the expertise of the successful candidate. Additionally, this position also includes FFA advisory stipend and additional summer working days with one of Oregon’s most decorated FFA chapters. Our local FFA program is one of the best in the state and consistently competes at both the state and national level. Our community has a proud tradition of support for our FFA program and is eager to welcome a new teacher into our FFA family.
T he successful candidate will possess a current Oregon Teaching license or be able to obtain one before August 14, 2023; or be able to obtain an Oregon CTE license in our current program of study.

Qualified candidates will demonstrate the following teacher proficiencies:

• The ability to work collaboratively with their teaching partners in the FFA program.
• Strong classroom management skills and organizational skills
• Ability to create, implement and fulfill community service opportunities.
• Ability to integrate technology into the classroom as well as the FFA program.
• A strong background in animal science in the field of agriculture.
• Willingness to build community connections in our local agricultural community.
• A team player who enjoys working with staff from all disciplines along with a willingness to be involved in a variety of school events and activities.
• Willingness and ability to work extra hours throughout the summer to foster and grow the students within our FFA program. (extra duty stipend and paid summer work days are included)
