  • Advise the Bank Management on the definition of risk policy;
  • Contribute as a “second pair of eyes” to ensure that risks taken by the Bank are aligned with its policies;

Responsibilities:


Responsible for Counterparty/market risk monitoring and analysis

  • Analysis, monitoring and reporting of counterparty risk exposures:
    • Understanding the origin of the exposures (specific trades, products);
    • Designing relevant metrics and stress testing, under both internal and regulatory context;
    • Aggregating and monitoring, across products market risk sensitivities by counterparty, hence providing a transversal view;
  • Define / validate / monitor the specific risk framework, e.g. stress testing.
  • Engage in active discussions with Trading/Sales and internal RISK stakeholders on risk issues
  • Summarize, escalade and present risk topics to Management


Minimum Required Qualifications


Education:

  • Master in Math / Quantitative Finance / Engineering / Economics

Experience:

  • relevant courses in risk management/quantitative financing/trading fields
  • Understanding of counterparty/ /market risk originated from derivatives and securities financing transactions (Repo, Security lending),
  • Understanding quantitative risk measures and related modeling / methodology;

Languages:

  • English mandatory

Skills:

  • Strong quantitative skills (Math, VBA/Excel);
  • Strong communication skills (being able to summarize and communicate efficiently);
  • Good team spirit.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Good Knowledge of stress testing methodology
  • Familiar with activities of repo, client clearing and FX brokerage
  • Good knowledge of securitized products

The expected starting salary range for this position in New York is between $80,000 to $100,000 annually. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business line, and geographic/office location.
