The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport is looking for an Analyst / Programmer 4 to help us Keep Alaska Moving!

What you will be doing:
Systems Administrator for ANC Information technology systems. Position assists with or is directly responsible for the support of all Airport business application servers, program applications. This is the senior systems administrator support for ANC-IT. Position duties include application programming and infrastructure support of network application system security, disaster recovery and ANC inter-sectional projects with ANC-IT staff. Position is responsible for the design, configuration and maintenance of all servers across the multi-sited airport network and is Team Lead for ANC’s Active Directory, CITRIX, VMWare, Virtual Servers – procedures and implementation. Duties may include application programming, infrastructure support, basic server support for Microsoft SQL servers, project management. Incumbent works within a team environment, as well as a team lead and mentoring fellow ANC-IT staff as needed and /or requested by the IT Manager.

The working environment you can expect:
Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport campus consists of north and south terminal and multiple outlining buildings. It is a diverse community with multiple organizations and tenants that the IT Department supports.
Four years of computer programming experience in a recognized computer language. One year of this experience must have been in a business application, scientific application, microcomputer or computer information management support specialty.
Substitution:
A bachelor's degree with a major in Computer Science (CS) or Computer Information Systems (CIS) or a related degree with (18) semester/(24) quarter hours of CS or CIS may substitute for one year of the required experience. An associate's degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems may substitute for nine months of the required experience.
Special Note:
An applicant who is considered under the Substitution above qualifies to apply for this job class IF the applicable coursework is completed within three (3) months of hire. Under this option, an applicant may receive a conditional job offer; however, proof of completion will be required prior to final appointment and reporting for duty.
Individual positions at each level in this class series may require expertise in a particular area of programming or analysis. Recruitment and selection will be on the basis of these requirements.
For some positions in these job classes, a background investigation including fingerprinting is required.

AIRPORT SECURITY BADGE
Candidates for this position must be eligible for an airport identification badge in accordance with Transportation Security Administration (TSA) regulations (49 CFR 1542) (Download PDF reader) which requires fingerprinting and a criminal background check. The successful applicant must pass a fingerprint-based criminal history record check as well as a comprehensive background investigation, along with a Transportation Security Administration Security Threat Assessment.
APSIN CLEARANCE
Candidates for this position must obtain and maintain Alaska Public Safety Information Network (APSIN) certification, which requires fingerprinting and a criminal background check. A felony conviction disqualifies a person from APSIN certification. Misdemeanor convictions may also disqualify a person from APSIN certification. The successful applicant must pass a fingerprint-based criminal history record check as well as a comprehensive background investigation.
The successful candidate will need to be able to successfully complete the required fingerprint based criminal history records check and a Security Threat Assessment, per Transportation Security Administration regulations (49 CFR1542.209 and SE 152-04-08G). You will need to successfully pass the Criminal Justice Information Report (CJIS) Security and Awareness test and clear customs as outlined in 19 CFR 122.181.188
