Student Union:
Known as the “Heart of Campus,” the Student Union sits at the center of UCF’s Orlando Campus. We provide space for members of the UCF community to study, socialize, eat, host events, attend meetings, celebrate traditions, and engage in campus life.
The Opportunity:
UCF seeks an Assistant Director, Student Union to join our team! The Assistant Director will directly supervise the Student Union event operations including student employees in the Student Union facilities. This position reports to the Associate Director.
The Assistant Director is charged with supporting the Student Union's mission: "The UCF Student Union strives to create an innovative and inclusive environment acting as a catalyst for campus engagement. We are committed to building community by providing programs and experiences that foster student development within quality facilities."
Responsibilities:

Oversees an operational and personnel budget of approximately 1.1 million dollars.

Coordinates Emergency Response and Risk Management Initiatives for all Student Union facilities.

Represents the department by serving on UCF committees, trainings, conferences, and presentations.

Oversees event operations, daily building functions, Live Oak Event Center, inventory and building upkeep.

Oversees one professional staff employee, two GAs, and 100 OPS student employees.

Other duties as assigned, including occasional shifts outside of normal working hours.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience with at least 1+ year(s) of leadership experience
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Event Operations

Experience working in Student Union, Event Center, or similar facility
