University City Housing (UCH) is a Philadelphia-based firm that buys, renovates, maintains and manages real estate for long-term investment. Our current portfolio consists of over 4,000 residential units and 250,000 square feet of commercial space in the Greater Philadelphia region.

UCH is seeking a motivated, professional Assistant Maintenance Supervisor to work at our fast-paced properties in our Roxborough Region. We are looking for an individual who is energetic, organized, outgoing, and detail-oriented. Previous experience working with Maintenance or in Property Management is desirable.

What does an Assistant Maintenance Supervisor do?

The Assistant Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of the Production Team while implementing creative and cost-effective procedures to complete Make Readies. They will also maintain a positive work environment, motivate the team, and cultivate a team atmosphere.

The model Assistant Maintenance Supervisor will complete move out and move in inspections, manage the make-ready process, maintain after hours coverage as needed, and maintain time and production records.

Assistant Maintenance Supervisor Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Assuring that new move ins have an A+ experience
• Supervising , and coordinating the activities of the Production Team
• Coordinate and implement regular training and refresher sessions
• Generating, updating and distributing production schedule weekly
• Communicating and scheduling with all needed vendors and contractors
• Maintaining required records such as material usage, supplies, time, production and other reports
• Creating training and developing programs for new maintenance team members as needed
• Completing and assisting with pre move out, move out/Security Deposit, pre move in, and move in inspections
• Regular meetings with regional maintenance supervisor and property managers to discuss current and future move-outs
• Coordinating renovations with Regional Maintenance Supervisor and Regional Property Manager

Assistant Maintenance Supervisor Requirements:

• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and flexible
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Strong work ethic
• Stable, progressive work history
• Valid Driver’s license and vehicle
