Assistant Teaching Professor, Advertising and Public Relations (Application Deadline extended)
The Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications at Pennsylvania State University invites applications for a non-tenure track, multi-year advertising faculty position at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor. The appointee will be a faculty member in the Department of Advertising and Public Relations, starting in Fall 2023.
Responsibilities: We seek a colleague who has the expertise to teach or develop a range of courses in advertising including creative strategy, campaign development, brand strategy and consumer insights. Responsibilities for the position include teaching undergraduate classes, advising students, and providing service to the college and university.
Education and Experience: Candidates for the position should possess a Master's degree and have significant professional experience in advertising or related marketing communication fields.
About the Department: The Department of Advertising and Public Relations offers both resident and online degree programs. It is part of the Bellisario College, one of the largest accredited communication programs in the nation. The college is home to the Arthur W. Page Center for Integrity in Public Communication, a national leader in the study and advancement of ethics and responsibility in communication. The university and college have a strong commitment to achieving diversity among faculty and staff, and we encourage applications from members of underrepresented groups.
This is a limited-term appointment funded for three years, with an excellent possibility of renewals. Most of our non-tenure-line faculty have served with the College for many years.
